Two days ago I went with my friend Greg to the Relais de l'Entrecôte in Geneva for diner. It's one of geneva's old classic restaurant. It had been ages since my last visit and I realized I had forgotten how good it was and how much I missed it ! The restaurant serves only one Menu : green salad with nuts, the famous Entrecôte with its home made butter sauce and the most incredible french fries, and a dessert. The decor of the place is all about wood and old school advertising. You always meet someone you know since at some point or another, everybody goes there. Le Relais is the Proust's Madeleine of many Geneva's inhabitants.
The only problem is that the restaurant is supposed to close in 2013 to be replaced probably by some fashion store. It's a proper shame and the only thing left to do is to go l'Entrecôte and enjoy it while it last.
